Netflix orders 2022 World Cup and Six Nations Rugby docuseries

Streaming giant Netflix is continuing to grow its presence in the sports industry, ordering a pair of new docuseries on the 2022 men's Fifa World Cup and Six Nations Rugby.

The World Cup documentary will feature behind the scenes footage of the 32 teams competing in Qatar and is being produced with FIFA+ and production company Fulwell 73. It is set to debut later this year. In the United States, the World Cup earned strong viewership, capping off the tournament with nearly 26 million watching the final.
