MMA rights market in France opens up as broadcast regulator issues verdict

Agencies and promoters distributing mixed martial arts rights will be welcoming a decision by the French media regulator, the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA), to allow the broadcast of fights on French television, albeit with restrictions.

The French Mixed Martial Arts Federation (FMMAF) has announced that the CSA has given the green light for French broadcasters to showcase the pursuit. This comes nearly a month after the first professional MMA fights were held in France following the lifting of legislation.
