Major League Cricket announces inaugural season

United States-based Major League Cricket announced the dates of its inaugural season that will run in the summer of 2023, beginning on July 13 at the newly-constructed Major League Cricket venue, Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The season will feature six teams playing 19 Twenty20 (T20) matches over 18 days, leading up to a championship on July 30. The six teams will represent Dallas, Texas; San Francisco and Los Angeles, California; Washington, District of Columbia, Seattle, Washington; and New York City, and will comprise of multiple global stars. All teams' names and venues will be announced in early 2023.
