English Premier League champions Liverpool have signed a sponsorship contract with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and Economic Development Board Mauritius in the category of tourism and economic development.
The deal, which will run for three years, builds on the opening of the LFC International Academy on the island in July 2019.
It forms part of Mauritius’ efforts to become a leading global tourist destination and business hub of Africa.
In order to achieve this, the island will be promoted across a range of Liverpool assets, including social media and digital platforms.
For Liverpool, the deal bolsters a sponsorship portfolio which is headlined by global financial services company Standard Chartered, its front-of-shirt sponsor.
The Premier League Champions’ high-profile kit supply deal with Nike will commence at the start of the 2020-21 season, following a legal battle over the rights with current kit supplier New Balance.
