LG Electronics USA has signed with esports organisation Evil Geniuses to make the consumer electronics company’s LG UltraGear brand the team’s Official Gaming Monitor.
The deal will see LG UltraGear monitors installed and used in the competitive practice and streaming rooms at the Evil Geniuses’ training facilities in Seattle and Los Angeles.
The monitors will feature in the team’s digital content, with Evil Geniuses players highlighting the product’s key features through exclusive online LG UltraGear streams.
LG will also provide an array of monitor products to fit the organisation’s day-to-day business across content development/editing, team operations and for its business staff.
In terms of visibility assets, the organisation’s newly-debuted crest will combine with the LG UltraGear logo in an overhaul of the 2020 player jersey design.
In a move away from traditional sports team uniforms, the design will include details unique to each player.
Phil Aram, chief gaming officer of Evil Geniuses said the partnership will deliver “best-in-class” across all aspects of the organisation.
Founded in 1999, Evil Geniuses competes across major game titles such as Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It also has players competing at the highest level in various FGC (fighting game community) games and Fortnite.
