The International Cricket Council (ICC) has moved to revamp the event concept for its Men’s T20 World Cup, as the West Indies and United States prepare to co-host the 2024 edition of the tournament.

For 2024, the 20-team tournament will work in two phases before the knockouts, though in a different framework from the First Round/Super 12 format used at the 2021 and 2022 editions.
