The home of Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo and the National Women's Soccer League's Houston Dash has been renamed Shell Energy Stadium following a multiyear agreement with global energy giant Shell Energy.

In 2011, international banking company BBVA Compass secured a 10-year, $20m (€18.5m) naming rights deal for the 21,000-seat facility from the 2012 season onwards. Under this agreement, the stadium changed its name from BBVA Compass Stadium to BBVA Stadium in 2019 and then PNC Stadium in 2021 following PNC's acquisition of BBVA USA.
