The Fédération Française de Rugby à XIII, the French rugby league federation, has officially declared its intention to bid for the 2025 edition of the Rugby League World Cup.

France founded the World Cup in 1954 but the country has not been the sole host of the tournament since 1972. The bid for the 2025 tournament includes plans for the men’s, women’s, wheelchair and youth events to be held simultaneously.
