Chelsea FC has appointed former City Football Group and EA Sports executive Damian Willoughby as its new commercial director, reuniting him with former CFG colleague Tom Glick who recently joined the London club as president of business.
SportBusiness understands Willoughby began the new role this week and will report into Glick, who joined Chelsea in July this year following the departure of a number of senior executives subsequent to the takeover of the club by Todd Boehly’s Clearlake Consortium. He will be tasked with growing the Premier League club’s commercial operations, which includes a responsibility for the club’s global sponsorship portfolio.
