German chemicals company Evonik has reduced its stake in Borussia Dortmund, just days after restructuring its sponsorship deal with the Bundesliga football club.
Evonik will remain Dortmund’s largest individual shareholder, but has sold 4.95 per cent of its shares, dropping its stake from 14.78 per cent to 9.83 per cent. Evonik acquired its initial stake in June 2014 as part of an 11-year extension to its shirt sponsorship deal with Dortmund.
