ESPN Africa extends NBA rights deal

The NBA basketball league and sports broadcaster ESPN have extended and expanded their rights deal in Africa under a 'multi-year' renewal.

ESPN Africa has been the league’s pay-television rights-holder in sub-Saharan Africa since 2019. Under the new agreement, ESPN2 will broadcast more than 180 regular-season and playoff games each season, including the entire Conference Finals and Finals, beginning with the 2022-23 season that tipped off last month.
