LaLiga’s RCD Espanyol has renewed the contract of long-term sponsor, Spanish beer brand Estrella Damm.

The association between the two organisations dates back almost 30 years and will now continue until 2023.

As part of the deal, Estrella Damm is granted visibility at the club’s RCDE Stadium and at its training ground. It also supports the ‘Star Player Award’, which allows fans to vote for the best player in each Espanyol match.

The news follows the recent extension of the club’s agreement with soft drinks brand Coca-Cola.

The Barcelona-based club’s sponsorship portfolio is headlined by its front-of-shirt sponsor, Chinese content platform LD Sports, and its kit supplier agreement with sports apparel specialists Kelme.

Espanyol’s full sponsorship portfolio can be viewed via the SportBusiness Soccer platform, including details of valuations and duration.

It remains to be seen if the club’s sponsorship portfolio will be affected by its likely relegation to the second tier with the team sitting at the bottom of the table and five points from safety.
