Eclat Media Group has added to the growing sports portfolio for its new pan-regional SPOTV platform in Asia-Pacific with a five-year deal for US Open grand slam tennis rights, from 2022 to 2026, covering 15 markets.

Tennis rights have become a battleground between Eclat and rival pan-regional broadcaster beIN Sports, as the two companies seek to capitalise on the shutdown of Fox Sports Asia. Fox held pan-regional rights for all four tennis Grand Slams. The rights have come on the market this year after Disney announced in April that it was shutting Fox.
