Decision looming on spectators at Tokyo Paralympics

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic organisers look set to hold competitions without spectators at the majority of venues, due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the Japanese capital following the Olympics.

The Japanese government and the organisers of the Games, set to start on August 24, will decide this week (beginning August 16) on whether spectators will be allowed at events, Kyodo News reported.
