Cricket Australia withdraws from Afghanistan series in women’s rights protest

Cricket Australia has announced the withdrawal of its men’s team from an upcoming one-day international (ODI) series against Afghanistan due to the Taliban further limiting women’s rights in the country.

Afghanistan's cricket board and some of its players have criticised the decision for drawing politics into sport.
