The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) and the IMG-owned FC Diez Media have launched standalone sponsorship packages for the women’s Copa Libertadores for the first time.
Previously, sponsors of the women’s edition of South America’s flagship club tournament had also been sponsors of its men competitions, but the move has now been made to launch individual packages as Conmebol looks to develop women’s football in the region. The move follows similar steps taken by Uefa for its Women’s Champions League tournament.
