The Chinese Grand Prix will be absent from the Formula 1 calendar for the third year in a row in 2022, according to news agency Reuters.

Formula 1 is to release its 23-race calendar for 2022 later today (Friday). Quoting 'multiple sources', Reuters said the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai was not on a draft shown to teams on Wednesday, but the race would be a possible 'reserve' in case another event drops off during the season.
