Spanish football club CD Leganés has signed up dental health specialists Vitaldent to its portfolio of kit sponsors.
The deal, which will afford the brand’s logo a presence on the back of the shorts of the club’s kit, will initially run until the end of the 2019-20 season.
There is an option to extend this at the conclusion of the campaign and the club indicated that it is keen for the association to be a long term.
Pedro Reoyo, marketing director of Vitaldent, said: ”Endorsing Vitaldent’s commitment to sport and promoting healthy lifestyle habits is paramount for us, because poor oral health care is associated with various risks for exercise. Sport is also health and we believe that the companies must take a step forward to promote health care in all areas.”
For Leganés the deal adds to its array of kit sponsors which is headlined by gambling firm Betway, thought this €1m ($1.1m) per season contract is due to expire at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Cryptocurrency KickSoccerCoin’s sleeve sponsorship deal is also set to expire after the end of the season, whilst, food and cosmetics manufacturer Laboratorios Ynsadiet has 12 months left on its agreement, which affords a presence on the back of Leganés’s shirt.
The kit sponsorship portfolio is completed by global fast food franchise KFC, with the brand’s logo present on the front of the shorts of the club’s kit.
