French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus will return its sublicensed Ligue 1 rights to France’s Professional Football League (LFP) on February 5 and has urged the league to re-tender the full suite of rights after the collapse of the latter’s deal with Spanish agency and production group, Mediapro.
