The Badminton World Federation has announced major changes to its 2021 calendar, including the cancellation of a swathe of Asian tournaments and moving the Sudirman Cup Finals and World Tour Finals out of China.
Vantaa in Finland will now host the Sudirman Cup, from September 26 to October 3. Bali in Indonesia will host a three tournament 'Asian Leg' of this year's World Tour, finishing with the Finals on December 1-5. The BWF said: "Covid-19 restrictions have meant it is not feasible to conduct tournaments in China this year."
