The Badminton World Federation plans to run more back-to-back tournaments in certain countries and regions in 2022 in an effort to address expected ongoing disruption from pandemic-related travel restrictions.

A 2022 calendar of Grade 1 and 2 tournaments - the federation's top tournaments - released yesterday features: three events in a row in India to start the season; followed by five European tournaments; then a 13-tournament 'Asian swing'; then a handful of North American, European and Asian tournaments; finishing with a return to Asia-Pacific for six tournaments to end the season.
