The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has handed new dates to its postponed 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup Finals, and has also unveiled a financial support package for tournament hosts during its 2021 season.

The BWF has revealed its initial calendar plans for the coming year, following a 2020 schedule that was decimated by Covid-19. The Federation admitted that the Covid-19 situation continues to provide a “challenging environment” in which to run international tournaments, adding that although vaccines provide hope it expects that the pandemic will still influence tournament hosting throughout the whole of 2021.
