British Columbia’s government has announced that it will no longer be supporting a bid to host the 2030 Winter Olympic Games due to high costs and other upcoming events taking place in the Canadian province.
In a statement released yesterday (Thursday), Lisa Beare, British Columbia’s minister of tourism, arts, culture and sport said that the province is declining to support a bid based on “careful consideration” of the costs involved.
