Brady adds Aston Martin to endorsement portfolio

NFL American football superstar Tom Brady has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with luxury car brand Aston Martin.

Under the agreement, Brady, who plays for the New England Patriots, will curate his own take on a modern-day Aston Martin vehicle, based on the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S model.

The car will be unveiled this summer. According to the Reuters news agency, only 12 versions of the vehicle will be created and sold to the public.

Brady will also drive and pitch the Aston Martin DB11 car as part of the deal, while a new content series entitled Category of One will launch later this year.

Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s vice-president and chief creative officer, said: “Tom is an inspirational leader and athlete who is clearly aligned with our view of Aston Martin. His performances on the football field – not just recently but throughout his career – are an inspiration for us all. My team and I are looking forward to this creative collaboration as we continue to roll out Aston Martin’s ‘Second Century’ plan.”

In February Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to win five Super Bowl championships. The 39-year-old’s portfolio of endorsement deals also includes partnerships with Under Armour and Tag Heuer.
