Bowlero Corp. takes over Professional Bowlers Association

New York-based Bowlero Corp., the world’s largest owner and operator of ten-pin bowling centers, has taken over the Professional Bowlers Association. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

PBA is the major sanctioning body for ten-pin bowling in the United States. It also runs a number of competitive professional tours including the Go Bowling! PBA Tour, PBA International Tour, PBA Regional Tour, PBA Women’s Regional, and PBA50 Tour events.

Bowlero Corp chief customer officer Colie Edison will now become the PBA’s chief executive, while Tom Clark will remain its commissioner.

According to a press release, the partnership “combines Bowlero’s industry expertise with the PBA’s global talent pool and fan base, which together will elevate the sport of bowling to new heights.”

The bowling centre brands of Bowlero Corp. include Bowlero, Bowlmor Lanes, AMF Bowling Co., and Brunswick Zone.
