Birmingham Mayor calls for regional backing to address World Games debt

Randall Woodfin, Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, has called on the US city’s regional partners to assist in addressing over $15m (€15.1m) of debt that has arisen from its staging of the 2022 World Games multi-sport event, with Birmingham City Council agreeing an initial $5m contribution.
