The organising committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham has decided to move away from a single-site athletes’ village for the multi-sport event, with three campus villages to be set up instead at The University of Birmingham, The University of Warwick and The NEC Hotel Campus.

The NEC Hotel Campus will house 1,600 athletes and officials, with the University of Warwick to house 1,900. The University of Birmingham will serve as the principal village and will house 2,800 people.
