ARISF chief re-elected as UIM president

Association of the International Olympic Committee Recognised International Sport Federations (ARISF) president Raffaele Chiulli has been re-elected as head of the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the international governing body of powerboating.

The Italian official was handed another term as UIM president at the organisation’s 88th General Assembly. Chiulli first took up the post in 2007 and has led ARISF, which comprises the 35 sports federations recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), since 2013.

The UIM said in a statement: “His re-election was the reward for the development and innovation policies implemented over the last presidential mandate.”

Chiulli also serves as a vice-president of SportAccord, the umbrella body of 104 Olympic and non-Olympic international federations.
