BT Sport and Amazon have each acquired Uefa Champions League rights in the UK from 2024-25 onwards after submitting successful first-round bids, SportBusiness understands.
Pay-television broadcaster BT Sport is the incumbent and has held exclusive Champions League rights in the UK since 2015-16. The entrance of Amazon will mean that BT's rights will be diluted from 2024-25 onward as the e-commerce platform will show matches on its Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
