Media group Zee Entertainment has agreed a surprise sublicensing deal with Disney Star for exclusive linear rights in India to men's International Cricket Council events from 2024-27.

The deal follows the ICC's announcement on Saturday that Star had secured exclusive linear and digital rights in India to its men's and women's tournaments for four years, from 2024-27. Star already holds global ICC rights in an eight-year deal, from 2015-23, worth $2.1bn (€2.1bn).
