World Cup final draws nearly 26 million viewers in US

Across the English broadcast Fox Sports and Spanish broadcast on Telemundo, the men's 2022 Fifa World Cup final drew 25.783 million average viewers.

Fox alone brought in 16,783,000 viewers (47 per cent up from 2018's final), short of the 2014 final on ABC between Germany and Argentina that drew 17.3 million. The match peaked at 25,622,000 viewers. The match was also the third-most streamed event on Fox after two Super Bowls, with average minute audience (AMA) of 1,281,776. Fox averaged 3,588,000 viewers across the 64-match tournament, good for a 30 per cent increase from 2018.
