Streaming company Viaplay Group has extended its carriage deal with Norwegian television, streaming and broadband provider Altibox and expanded its agreement with television and broadband provider Allente ahead of the start of its coverage of the English Premier League.

Viaplay, which rebranded from Nordic Entertainment (Nent) Group last month, acquired exclusive rights to the top division of English club football in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden through a landmark deal from 2022-23 to 2027-28 that was signed in February 2020. In doing so, Viaplay ousted TV2, the Premier League broadcaster in Norway since 2010.
