Viaplay has secured rights to the English Football League's Championship and League Cup in all Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland and the Netherlands from 2022-23 in what has been announced as a 'long-term' deal.

Viaplay, which formally changed its name from the Nordic Entertainment Group (Nent Group) last week, will show more than 180 live matches per season from the second-tier EFL Championship, including the play-off semi-finals and final, and will stream every round of the EFL Cup.
