Viacom18 moves sports content to JioCinema, Fifa World Cup streamed free

Indian media group Viacom18 will exploit its rights to the upcoming Fifa 2022 World Cup by streaming free coverage on OTT platform JioCinema.

Viacom18, which will also show coverage on its linear pay-television Sports18 channels in standard-definition and high-definition, will live stream all 64 matches from the tournament and also offer other programming through JioCinema. Viacom18 last year acquired exclusive rights in the Indian subcontinent to the 2022 tournament.
