Usmanov steps aside as FIE president following EU sanctions

Alisher Usmanov, the Uzbek-born Russian oligarch, has stepped down as president of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) following sanctions imposed on him by the European Union after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
