Uefa ‘to scrap’ European Championship expansion idea

Uefa, European football’s governing body, is set to drop any plans to expand the men’s European Championship from 24 to 32 teams, according to multiple reports.

Uefa has been studying the potential move for the past year, according to The Times, amid pressure from some of its 55 member associations to give them a better chance of qualifying for the finals.
