U.S. Soccer chief plays down Trump factor for World Cup bid

U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) president Sunil Gulati has moved to play down the impact on a bid for the 2026 Fifa World Cup of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election, stating the 70-year-old is an “avid sports fan”.
