The Swiss Football Association (SFV) has further extended its main partner agreement with multi-national investment bank and financial services company Credit Suisse.
The pair’s deal had been set to expire in 2020 but will now run until 2024. It incorporates sponsorship of all of Switzerland’s men’s, women’s and junior national football teams, including the beach football team.
The deal extends a long association, dating back to 1993. The development of youth football has been a key focus of this, with half of all money committed by the brand being put towards the youth programme. This includes the continuation of the Credit Suisse Cup, the national schools football championship.
The company is joined in the top sponsorship tier of the SFV by its kit supplier Puma. Set to expire in 2020, it remains to be seen if this long-term agreement will follow the Credit Suisse deal in being renewed.
