Sportradar strikes extension with Roar Digital

Data provider Sportradar has struck a multiyear extension with Roar Digital, the joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings, running through September 2026 that will allow live sports streaming on the BetMGM mobile betting app within the US.

In the deal, Sportradar will continue providing data for all US sports, and now opens up the enhanced content of live streaming in concert with the sports betting components.

“Streaming is a great offering for our customers, and when paired with fast, reliable data, puts in a great place to ensure that we can deliver the future of sports betting experiences in the US,” said Matt Prevost, chief marketing officer of Roar Digital.

BetMGM joins competitors such as DraftKings and FanDuel that also license livestreamed content from Sportradar, with that programming having previously included Bundesliga soccer, Korean baseball, and international tennis, among other events.

“BetMGM deeply understands mobile sports betting, and we are incredibly excited to be working alongside the Roar team to continuously deliver the best experience for their customers,” said Neale Deeley, Sportradar vice president of US sales and gaming.
