Six Day Series adds Kalas as first Global Partner

Global track cycling series Six Day Series has signed Czech company Kalas Sportswear as its first Global Partner.

The brand will supply the rider jerseys for each of the six events in the 2019-20 edition of the series.

The two parties began working together at the Six Day London event in 2016. The agreement subsequently expanded to incorporate other cities, such as Mallorca, Berlin, Manchester and Brisbane.

Frantisek Rabon, marketing director of Kalas, said: ‘’Kalas are rapidly growing as a global name in the custom cycle wear business. We have important markets in many of the countries where Six Day Series are active.”

Cycling promoter Madison sports group delivers the competition which incorporates men’s, women’s and under 21 sections, with riders competing in teams of two. Each city event is comprised of six days of racing. The upcoming instalment of the series begins on October 22 in London and concludes in Brisbane in March 2020.

This month, the BBC entered an agreement to broadcast the 2019-20 Six Day Series across its BBC Sport and iPlayer platforms. Eurosport has also held media rights to the event since its inception four years ago and provides coverage across over 70 markets in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
