Segev named as DAZN’s sole CEO, Waterman recruited as CFO

Sole DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev

DAZN Group, the global sports subscription service and media company, is returning to a structure of a sole chief executive, scrapping the current splitting of the position between Shay Segev, former head of international sports betting and gaming group Entain, and the long-serving James Rushton.

Segev was today (Monday) named as the new CEO with Rushton, who became acting group CEO after Simon Denyer exited in June 2020, given the new title of DAZN co-founder. Rushton will continue his existing responsibilities in “overseeing growth in local markets, rights and content”.
