Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko has dismissed allegations that he helped cover up a top footballer’s positive doping test as “silly” and “unconvincing”, adding that he and Russia were being smeared as payback for winning the hosting rights to the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
