The National Women's Soccer League announced its 2023 scheduling framework, including the UKG Challenge Cup running concurrently with the regular season rather than as operating like before as a preseason tournament.
The new Challenge Cup schedule will run in a six-week format from April to September with three groups of four teams playing two-leg round-robin matches for a total of six matches.
