New World TV embroiled in row over on-sale of World Cup rights in Senegal

Senegalese media group E-Media and RTS, the public broadcaster in the West African country, have become caught up in a dispute over ownership of exclusive rights to this year’s Fifa World Cup.

E-Media has gone public with its intention to challenge a deal between RTS and New World TV, the Togo-based satellite broadcaster that holds free-to-air and pay-television rights in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa.
