Mumbai Indians build portfolio with move for MLC’s New York franchise

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians has furthered its global presence by agreeing a deal to acquire the New York team set to compete in the new Major League Cricket (MLC) T20 competition.

The Indians, which are owned by the Reliance Industries conglomerate, will add MI New York to its portfolio, subject to the completion of due diligence and the required corporate, regulatory and third-party approvals and compliances.
