Japanese sportswear company Mizuno has agreed a deal to be the official sport shoe supplier of the 2020 Australian Paralympic Team, covering the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.
Mizuno is a new partner for the team, and will provide shoes for 400 athletes and staff.
In the press release announcing the deal, Mizuno Australia’s head of sport Shane Holub said: “Mizuno’s new brand slogan, ‘REACH BEYOND’, and our philosophy as a brand to motivate, help and support athletes on a dedicated journey toward their goals, fits perfectly with Paralympics Australia’s pursuit of ‘sporting excellence for all’.
“With the 2020 Paralympic Games held in our home country of Japan, we are incredibly proud to be the official sport shoe supplier of the 2020 Australian Paralympic Team.”
Mizuno said the deal also fit with its corporate philosophy: “Contributing to society through the advancement of sporting goods and the promotion of sports”.
