Italian Serie A club Sampdoria has signed a six-year kit supplier agreement with Italian sports brand  Macron until 2026.

Under the new agreement, Macron will supply kit for the team and staff, as well as a wide range of club merchandise.

Macron’s technical sportswear brand’s style team has worked with Sampdoria on the new kits, which will be “respectful of the Blucerchiati history and tradition”, the brand said.

Gianluca Pavanello, chief executive of Macron, described the Sampdoria shirt as  emblematic” and said the technical project and design would involve the players on the field, the staff and the many fans.

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero said the sponsorship includes a significant merchandise development plan both in Italy and abroad. “Macron and the Blucerchiati colours have always looked at each other from afar and now we are finally united,” he said.

Macron takes over the kit supplier role from Spanish sports brand Joma, which has held the rights since 2015. The most recent deal with Joma was from 2018-19 to 2019-20, with an option to extend for the 2020-21 season.
