ALIA, the broadcast regulator in Luxembourg, has intervened in a case involving the alleged violation of Slovenian listed events legislation by pan-regional broadcasting group United Media during its broadcast of qualifying matches for the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup.

Slovenia’s Agency for Communication Networks and Services (AKOS) brought about the case following the broadcasting of Slovenia’s matches on one of United Media’s Sportklub pay-television channels.
