L’Équipe maintains biathlon commitment with IBU rights extension

Eurovision Sport, the sports arm of the European Broadcasting Union consortium of free-to-air broadcasters, has agreed a four-season extension to its rights deal with French digital-terrestrial television channel L’Équipe for the International Biathlon Union’s World Cup and World Championship events.

The new contract, which commences with the 2022-23 season and runs until the end of the 2025-26 campaign, marks the third agreement with L’Équipe brokered by Eurovision Sport on behalf of the IBU, since the association with L’Équipe began in 2015-16. The last extension was announced in April 2017.
