JP Morgan Chase ‘interested’ in Serie A financing deal ahead of new rights cycle

US financial services company JP Morgan Chase is reportedly interested in financing Lega Serie A’s media business, as the organising body of the top division of Italian club football met yesterday (Thursday) to discuss its next rights tender.

JP Morgan Chase has expressed a “preliminary interest” in financing Serie A, according to Reuters, which cited three people close to the matter. One of the sources said that the company would be able to provide between €700m ($762m) and €1bn in bank financing.
